Tweezers made of non-metal or any tiny, non-conductive instrument
It is optional to use isopropyl alcohol to clean the contact points.

Directions: Turn your Poco M3 phone off entirely. Make sure it isn’t attached to a charger or power source.
Open the phone: In order to reach the motherboard of your Poco M3, you must unscrew the back panel. For information on how to safely disassemble your Poco M3, go to a dismantling guide tailored to your model.
Find the EDL test locations: Typically identified as “EDL” or “Test Point” in the picture, these two tiny metallic contact points on the motherboard should be present. Refer to the breakdown guide for your particular Poco M3 model to confirm the placement.

wipe the contact points (Optional): To guarantee a good connection, you can wipe the EDL test points and the tips of your tweezers with a tiny bit of isopropyl alcohol. Before continuing, let the cleaning solution entirely dry.
Short the contact points: Touch both EDL test points at the same time for a few seconds using the non-metallic tweezers very gently. It’s imperative to prevent inadvertently touching other motherboard components and to only touch these particular places.

Your phone will appear in device manager as Qualcomm HS-USB QDloader 9008 if it enters EDL mode.

Crucial Information:

The key is accuracy: Avoid touching other motherboard components and make sure you’re just touching the designated EDL test spots.
Avoid exerting pressure: The points can be shortened with a light touch.
Avoid holding on for too long: It should be sufficient to short the points for a few seconds. Keeping them together for long stretches of time could make injury more likely.
No success? If, after a single attempt, the phone does not enter EDL mode, turn it off once more, wait a few while, and then cautiously repeat steps 4 and 5.
No luck yet? These locations could not be the actual EDL test points for your particular Poco M3 model, or the technique might not work with your device. In this situation, seek advice from a qualified phone repair specialist or look for information tailored to your Poco M3 model.

Keep in mind that this process is risky. It’s best to get professional advice if you have any questions about any of the steps.
