Liberation War Museum Agargaon
Liberation Museum is located in Agargaon, Dhaka. A rare collection of various important objects of the Great Liberation War of 1971. On March 22, 1996, the first Liberation War Museum was inaugurated in a rented house in Segun Bagicha, Dhaka as a private initiative. With the support and assistance of numerous people since its inception, the Liberation Museum currently has a collection of more than 15,000 items. On April 16, 2017, the Liberation War Museum was officially brought to the new building constructed in Agargaon.

The gallery named ‘Our Heritage, Our Struggle’ has collected ancient maps of Bengal, terracotta art, terracotta, various historical monuments, the context of the British period and the state of Pakistan and various memorabilia of the 1970s general elections.
In the gallery named ‘Our Rights, Our Sacrifice’, there are huge photographs of Bangabandhu’s historic March 7 speech, video footage of the speech, Awami League’s press release, and various evidences of the barbaric attack by the Pakistani invasion forces on the night of March 25.
In the gallery named ‘Our war, our friend’, the life of refugees who took shelter in India during the war, news prints published in foreign media, training of freedom fighters, activities of razakars, guerilla shelters of freedom fighters and various artifacts from home and abroad supporting the liberation war.
And lastly, in the gallery named ‘Our Joy, Our Values’, various signs have been displayed before the final victory in the Liberation War. The nine-storey building of Liberation War Museum also has car parking, archive, laboratory, exhibition room, office and auditorium.

How to go to the Liberation War Museum?
Or take any bus bound for Gabtali from Gulisthan in Dhaka and come in front of Shyamoli Shishu Mela, if you go east from Shishu Mela, you will see the National Orthopedic Hospital, on the opposite side of the main gate of this hospital is the Liberation War Museum.
If you want to go through Abdullahpur, Airport or Mahakhali, take any bus bound for Mirpur, Shyamoli and get off in front of Shyamoli Shishu Mela. A short walk from Shyamli is the Liberation War Museum. Besides, you can also go to Himachal, Alif Paribahan from Rampura. Or you can easily go from anywhere in Dhaka with your own transport or CNG.
